Daniel Russell Bishop (pictured above) is Oakwood Hills leading strike bowler. Over the coming months Daniel will be sharing his and some of his friends cricketing hints and tips. For this weeks BBB Daniel Bishop exclusively revealed his thoughts on Team Morale in an interview with the OHCC web editor. "So Daniel thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to answer these questions but how important to you is a Teams Morale?" Its very important. On a scale of one to six, I would say its got to be a six! "How do you create good team morale?" Its very important to back each other up. I like to give out positive vibes and also have nicknames for team members. Its also important to improve morale by buying Trev a beer in the bar afterwards and generally keeping him happy. I also often find that buying a jug after the game (Ed - a bargain at £8.10) helps in getting team morale to go through the roof. I always find a good team hug/huddle helps to bond everyone together. "Have you got any favourite phrases you use to improve team morale?" "Good lines" is one of my favourites but it also helps if you tell TC the game is finishing in 5 minutes. "Daniel earlier on you touched upon nicknames for certain team members. Would you care to share any of these with us?" •Neil Overington is known as 'the Salmon' "So far this year what is the most inspirational moment or words of encouragement from your Skipper?" 'Keep going...' "There is a rumour going round the club that the OHCC cheer leaders are destined for a reunion and unleashing there Poms Poms? Can you confirm/deny this rumour?" That is correct, me and Kitch were recruiting on Saturday and so far we have enlisted the services of the following individuals: Mary, Cat, Jenny, Clive's mum Barbara and Zoe! "Have you seen the picture of the new team mascot?"
The web editing team would like to thank Daniel Bishop for his time in conducting this interview.
